Agent Identity

Who the agent is: its name, its department and a line of description. It is the one pane in the Builder whose facts live on the agent itself, not on the draft version.

At a glance

  • Name, Department and Description in one pane
  • The one pane that writes the agent, not the draft
  • A rename lands on the agent directly
  • A description line for what the agent is for
Agent Identity

The three fields

Name, Department and Description sit in one pane. Name and Department are the pair the New Agent screen first asked for; Description is the line that tells the next teammate what this agent does.

On the agent, not the draft

Every other pane in the Builder edits the draft version. Identity is the exception: these facts live on the agent itself, so what changes here is the agent's own record, not a pending draft.

  1. Name the agentThe name is how the agent is known; change it and the change lands on the agent itself.
  2. Place it in a departmentDepartment is the same field the creation screen offered — set it or change it here.
  3. Write the descriptionOne line on what this agent is for, for whoever opens it next.
