Knowledge Documents

Documents are the raw prose a collection holds — everything uploaded, crawled, written by hand or sent through the API. The tab lists them all, and any row opens the block editor to read or rewrite it.

At a glance

  • Every document in one table — source, language, size and status
  • A borderless block editor, one click from any row
  • Version history with Restore and kept versions
  • Autosave that posts the whole document, tags included

The documents table

One table lists the collection's prose: the title as a link, a source badge — Upload, Crawl, Manual or API — the language, the size, a status badge and the updated date, closed by a View chip. Sizes are computed on the server, and bodies never travel to the list.

The block editor

A row opens the editor: a header with the way back to Documents, a toolbar — Preview or Edit, Version history, Re-index, Delete — and a saved-state indicator that always says where you stand. The body is a title input over a borderless block editor, and autosave posts the whole document, tags included. Delete returns you to the Documents tab.

The end rail and history

The rail beside the editor holds About — the source link, the language and the tags — then Translations, then Version history with Restore and Keep version on each entry. A drawer opens the full history, and keeping a version or deleting each runs in its own dialog.

  1. Find the documentThe table carries the title, a source badge, the language, the size, a status badge and when it was last updated; the title link or the View chip opens it.
  2. Edit in blocksThe body is a title input over a borderless block editor; write, and autosave posts the whole document — the saved-state indicator tells you where it stands.
  3. Manage its lifeThe toolbar flips Preview and Edit, opens Version history, re-indexes or deletes — deleting confirms in a dialog and returns you to the Documents tab.

TipScan the status column first — needs-review and failed each wear their own tone, so trouble shows before you open a row.
